I don't have a ton to say about this strip because it's a pretty straight forward one… - 1/7
The King of Slumberland is actually doing a really nice thing here! He has procured one of the largest turkeys possible to celebrate the boys and what he considers some of their best behaviour! - 2/7
Of course, Flip has made a mess of it… because he forgot to turn his watch back (for Daylight Savings Time) he and the boys arrive at the dinner an hour early and he thinks that he is being tricked! - 3/7
I *sort of* get it… Flip is always on guard because of past experiences in Slumberland, but that is basically ancient history now! - 4/7
Instead of trusting the palace's honesty (and after swearing to Nemo that his watch is the right time… foreshadowing anyone?) Flip takes the boys to a diner close by and they FEAST. - 5/7
Of course, when they return, and the Princess reveals Flip's mistake, the boys are too full to even eat another bite! What a shame considering this will be the last thanksgiving the gang spends together… :( - 6/7
This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #542. What’s yours? - 7/7
