Continuing what has become a recent trend after seemingly abandoning the trope for a while, Impie is once again the central troublemaker of this strip. - 1/7
It is literally the entire gang against Impie as they chase after him and newborn 1926. - 2/7
The fact that the situation is handled without any violence (at least any depicted violence… who knows what happened behind that curtain…) is meaningful, but still a conceit I'd like to see end. - 3/7
McCay also returns to his tried and true "in with the old and out with the new" method of celebrating the new years with old 1925 exiting stage right and the 1926 being celebrated centre stage! - 4/7
It doesn't surprise me to see stage elements here considering McCay's love for performance! Truthfully, I'm surprised it's taken this long for this sort of NYE strip! - 5/7
Not much else for me to comment on! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! - 6/7
This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #496. What's yours? - 7/7
