So… this one's a strange one. There really isn't much going on here… the first two tiers is just Nemo going around giving different cats the ability to talk… - 1/7
But, they don't use that ability well… rather than talk out their problems, they just talk about how they're gunna fight each other. - 2/7
Maybe that's exactly the point of this strip? McCay felt as though the disagreements that he and the Herald editorial had could have been more easily avoided if they'd decided to talk through the issues more completely? - 3/7
I'm not sure. As it stands, this strip just features a cat brawl… with no explanation for what they're angry with each other about. They certainly don't tell their story this week. - 4/7
It is unique in that it prominently features both of Nemo's parents (completely unfazed by the phenomenon) and a Mr. Deacon Smith who breaks up the fight by tossing items at them. - 5/7
