Ok everyone… where are we this week? - 1/12
What starts out hopefully, quickly turns into disappointment when Nemo realizes the light that the Captain saw was a lighthouse and not New York City. - 2/12
There really is a lot going on in this strip; it lacks cohesion for me… some good and some bad, but it ultimately feels like little more than a fill-in strip. - 3/12
The first panel is interesting because I believe that this is the first cross-section that we've seen from McCay. - 4/12
Also, why is Nemo in bed at the beginning… Does Nemo begins his dream by being woken up (not all that strange, but uncommon for us)? - 5/12
I also wonder why the fisherman is unable to give them help towards NYC… they were close last week so, presumably, they can't have gotten that far off track here (could they?)… - 6/12
Maybe he was unaware because Nemo's subconscious couldn't come up with an adequate explanation in the moment? - 7/12
The fish thing is most fascinating… for starters, Flip wants to give the fish to some fisherman rather than cut them back into the ocean… that's pretty charitable! Go Flip! - 8/12
It's also sort of a crazy achievement… I mean… Every. Single. Hook? - 9/12
Lastly, I think this strip marks the first time that Flip refers to Impie by the name we know him as. And… it's a compliment. - 10/12
Flip is full of surprises this week… but, the one constant? Doubt in Nemo's abilities to get them to NYC… I don't wanna say that I agree, but c'mon Winsor… we're getting anxious here. - 11/12
This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #264. What's yours? - 12/12
