This strip is pretty simple and straightforward, but I really like the inversion that it presents from start to finish. - 1/11

As we enter, our friends are floating blissfully back down to Mars after the sky bomb celebration from the last strip, but, by the time it ends, they're caged and trapped… - 2/11

This frustrates Mr. Gosh who was expecting to finally meet Nemo as they made their way back. - 3/11

Though the situation is quite different, I got a chuckle here because the premise is one that we're very familiar with by now; arguably, Nemo's most common trope... - 4/11

One character wants to meet Nemo, and events keep preventing that from happening. Sure, this is only the first time (and who knows what next week will bring), but there is a possibility that this is foreshadowing future episodes of this nature. - 5/11

On another note, this might be the most competent police force that we've yet seen in the #LittleNemo strips… Flip even comments as much in panel 5 when he comments that Mars' police "mean business". - 6/11

They swarm the boys and get them locked up in record time… clearly, these aren't the sleeping police from the playground OR earth. - 7/11

Finally, I really enjoy the collaboration between the penultimate and final panel of the comic. - 8/11

As Nemo and Flip comment that the Mars police can't possibly keep them in the cages, Nemo wakes up and declares, "I did get out anyway!" - 9/11

It's a humorous reminder that whatever predicament our heroes end up in, Nemo can always "escape" when he wakes up and won't find himself in a perilous position again until the following week. - 10/11

This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #248. What's yours? - 11/11
