This strip seems to act as a sort of interlude between the satire and capitalist criticism, so as to highlight some of the whimsical and lighter parts of Mars. - 1/7

McCay has used the conceit of "swimming" before to memorable effect, but this one might take the cake… swimming in fog is quite inventive, I think! - 2/7

I wonder if Nemo had recently heard the old saying about cutting thick fog with a knife, bringing us here? - 3/7

Either way, this strip is just a nice break from some of the heavier content that we've been witness too over the last couple weeks, so it's welcome! - 4/7

I find it particularly fun to see Nemo and the gang hopping around on the Martian flippers… This begs the question: Are there other Martians for whom these trans-Martian enhancements are necessary? - 5/7

It makes sense that we've only met one of what would be, presumably, a diverse population, but… who really knows? - 6/7

This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #240. What's yours? - 7/7
