I'm beginning to think this series has gone on maybe a little too long… Sure, McCay did a fine job spicy things up (the water strips may have, perhaps, been an effort to freshen things up), but they're not really working for me anymore… - 1/10

I just don't find them overly engaging… we seem to find ourselves back to the exact same (or at least very similar) space almost every strip… - 2/10

The events that occur don't feel dangerous or exciting because, I'm willing to bet real money on the fact that we'll just get a reset on the next strip and the ground will go back to plain old empty space. - 3/10

I do really like the composition of tier 2 though. As the trio runs from panel 4 into panel 5 the motion and movement of their run is very well represented through space and gesture. - 4/10

I also enjoy the diptych created by the crack in the ground. It pictorially adds to the excellent feeling of propelled motion created through panel 4 and 5. - 5/10

This is definitely my favourite part of this comic and demonstrates really well how comics function and communicate through multimodal discourse. - 6/10

One other thing of note: In panel 2 the Professor sort of changes tack a bit and rather than begging to go home, somewhat chastises Nemo and Flip who promised to show him Slumberland. - 7/10

It is very different from what we've been seeing from him… but it doesn't last long. Almost immediately, once the ground begins to shake, the Professor goes bac to wishing her were home. - 8/10

There is some interesting moments here, but I'm looking forward to this series ending so that we can move onto something fresh and new! - 9/10

This is my reading of "Little Nemo in Slumberland" #198. What's yours? - 10/10
